Wig Boutique

Our Philosophy
Beauty is more than skin deep; it rises from the core of the individual.

The people whom we respect and admire become beautiful to our eyes. True beauty is the truthful representation of a person's inner strengths, regardless of their physical condition.

Whether you are in need of a wig for hair loss due to treatments, Alopecia, or simply for fun, we provide a comfortable, discreet and nurturing environment.

We start with a one-on-one consultation session in the privacy of our comfortable salon.
Stephanie Farina- Cabral brings more than 25 years of experience as a color specialist and hair designer to her salon. She is an active volunteer since 2003 for the American Cancer Society as a cosmetologist. She participates in the “Look Good Feel Better” program where she assists women undergoing treatment by demonstrating techniques on make-up application.

We have found that for patients undergoing treatments, the loss of their hair and changes in skin can be devastating to their self-confidence. We help you enhance your appearance so that you can feel good about yourself.

We provide a comfortable, discreet and nurturing environment which is conducive to helping individuals restore their self confidence and find their way back to a sense of wellness. We start with a one-on-one consultation session in the privacy of our comfortable salon.

In a caring and private environment, we offer custom wig services including:

  • Special orders in many styles and color choices
  • Cutting, styling, and hair extensions
  • Instruction on care and maintenance
  • We offer a full line of home care  to promote healthy scalp and hair regrowth

Cosmetic challenges can also be a side effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy so we offer:

  • Cosmetic consultations
  • Makeup lessons
  • Cosmetic solutions for eyelash and brow loss

Insurance
Insurance may cover the cost of the wig. We will supply you with a receipt for your insurance submission.

CT Statute 38A542 stipulates that a commercial health insurance policy originating in Connecticut must provide a person with one synthetic wig in a lifetime when suffering from chemotherapy induced hair loss. An oncologist must write the prescription for a "cranial prosthesis". Maximum coverage mandated is $350.
