Breast Cancer
Research
Progressions hosts an annual
fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society. During this
month long event in October, Progressions holds a book sale,
raffles, and special day of beauty "Pampered in Pink" days. A
percentage of all retail sales and all the proceeds from raffle
sales for our “THINK PINK” basket of goods are donated to breast
cancer research. The salon finishes the event with a grand
finale. The entire staff dresses up in costumes for Halloween,
clients are invited to visit the salon, refreshments are served
and all additional contributions are donated to this very
important research.
Look Good, Feel Better (LGFB)
Progressions participates monthly in the Look Good, Feel
Better program as part of the American Cancer Society.
Owner, cosmetologist Stephanie Farina–Cabral volunteers time to
help women undergoing cancer treatments to explore alternatives
to hair loss as well as she teaches the patients of her beauty
tips while providing a full make-up lesson. The program which was launched in 1989, “is designed to
help cancer patients maintain their appearance as they undergo
chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and to teach them techniques
to help them look their best.” ~nhregister
Sock Drive
Woodbridge Human Services Department has awarded Progressions
Salon with a special volunteer Award of Appreciation.
Progressions host an annual Sock Drive, seven years and
counting. The collected socks are then distributed to children
and adults along with holiday food baskets and gifts. Serving
the Woodbridge community for over the past 25+ years
Progressions will continue to give back whenever possible. We
encourage everyone to donate and to show our appreciation all
contributors will receive a thank you gift.
